On Guest Crew, there’s already several campaigns worth $$$ are running and some of our members are earning money on regular basis.
So why aren’t you getting enough paid offers?
To answer this question, we thought to compile an article and mention some tips by which your blog can attract even more potential advertisers.
1) Get a good theme – There are so many good looking themes available, it is absolutely criminal if your blog is still having a crappy looking theme.
2) Get rid of those sidebar links – Having a bunch of out going links from your blog’s sidebar makes your blog look like a paid link dumping spot. If you have sold your blogroll space, would suggest you to keep those links and once their time is over, get rid of those links and never sell anymore.
3) Stats and Activity – Alexa rank, Domain authority etc. can be easily improved. Just make sure to comment on related blogs, do at least 50 to 100 comments daily without spamming. Leave high quality comments that has value. It alone will help you with these things:
4) Charge reasonably – I know you love your blog and think it is really valuable, but charging an insane amount for a paid post will surely turn away many advertisers.
When you add a blog on Guest Crew, you will find a field that says – “coins”. You need to put something reasonable there. I have seen smaller blogs putting 1k to 5k coins in that field. That won’t get you any paid offers… 1 coin = $1. No one is going to pay $5000 for a post on your blog. Be practical – charge $50 to $100 depending on your stats.
Be reasonable and practical, charge the lowest at which you can accept a post.
5) Write for top sites – Do you have an author account on a huge PR6+ media site or an A-list blog. It can be anything from Mashable, lifehacker, nytimes, wallstreet journal, business insider, techcrunch etc.
If you have an author, contributor, editor account on any top site where you can post an article and give the advertiser a backlink – you can charge some pretty solid fees for it.
6) Be active on Guest Crew – Offers are taken away pretty fast. Say an advertiser launches a campaign and he gets some pretty solid offers in the next few hours. He might not wait for more, and select one from the offers available to him.
If you don’t check Guest Crew multiple times a day, you might miss out on good offers.
7) Don’t negotiate – If an offer says $100, don’t counter-offer it by saying we need $120, $150 or $180 for it.
If the offer says $100, you will be paid $100 for it.
It is like – take it or leave it.
If you are not happy to take $100 for that particular offer, reject it.
8) Work on your blog – Use other methods to promote your blog. Do blog commenting, do guest blogging, be active on your social pages and promote your blog all the time. Advertisers don’t always look for link juice – they look for what else you can offer. If your blog has good traffic that can convert – it is surely a big plus.
9) Add content – Guest posts, sponsored guest posts, paid posts etc. should always be kept to a minimum. If you take 10 such posts a month, make sure to add another 10 to 15 very high quality editorial posts in between.
The bottom line is – work on your blogs – if your blog has value, advertisers will surely pay to get a mention from your blog.
Wow Uttoran Sen, that’s a nice post. After reading your post I am eager to join guestcrew. Dont know about others but I really like your post and your approach, the way you laid down tips in a simple way. Will look forward for my joining guestcrew.
Hi Souvik mallick,

Glad you liked the articles and the presentation,
looking foreword to welcome you onboard,

Uttoran Sen,
One thing ought to be clarified as well, it isn’t every sponsored post that is worth the money.
I have received to one sponsored post valued at $250 but at the end, the post will be linking to a casino website.
How is that going to benefit my readers? At the end, I am likely to get my blog penalized.
Hi Emmanuel,
welcome to Guest Crew and thanks for your comments,
Surely, one needs to pick and choose, if something is Ir-relevant, it should be rejected… casino in your example is an entertainment niche, so it surely is off topic for you.
thanks,
Uttoran Sen,
Hey mate,
Thanks for sharing. I think charging is important. Don’t just charge $100 or $500 for something.
Make sure the money is worth it before anything else.
Take care!
Hi Reginald,
good to see you here and thanks for your comments,
surely, we have some new features underway, I guess another week and will have those live…
Am planning on a “pay later” system, so that the advertisers won’t have to pay upfront.
regards,
Uttoran Sen,

Hey Riya khurana,
welcome to Guest Crew and thanks for your comments,
surely, without having a good blog you can’t get paid offers,
You mentioned PR and DA, but even with poor DA and PR, if your blog is over all active with social shares and comments, you can still enjoy plenty of paid guest post offers …
I looked into your blog, seems like it is a very new blog with only 2 posts so far… it needs a lot of work before you get any paid posts for it,
thanks,
Uttoran Sen,
Yeah It is new blog but I have 3 more blogs also π
Health oriented blog is just launched
That is good to know Riya,
hope you make it big,

It is not easy to get paid post for blogs for those blogs who not have PR DA quality blogs all the time they need, Apart if the you have quality, client is always make bargain to make price as low as he /she can make.
